Easy to use

Signed up for a month. Found the contemporary musical theater tracks I needed quickly. App adjusted tempo well. Overall good experience. Tracks sounded professional. No complaints.

Decent value for annual plan

I was looking for the best deal on musical theater piano accompaniments and saw the annual membership on Pianotrax. It was 20% off which felt like a good saving compared to monthly. The value for the amount of tracks available is pretty good. I was able to find all the pop rock audition tracks I needed. The real-time key adjustment in the app is definitely a bonus feature that makes it worth the cost. Felt like I got my money's worth, especially with the discount.

Consistent and reliable service

I've been a subscriber to Pianotrax for over two years now, mostly for rehearsal tracks for local theater. This last order, where I picked up a bundle of song credits, was just as smooth as always. The site is easy to navigate, and the tracks are consistently high quality. They keep adding new stuff too, so I always find what I need. Never had any issues with downloads or app performance. It's just reliable, which is why I keep coming back instead of trying other services like Appcompanist.

Good for auditions

I got the annual membership last month specifically for some audition backing tracks. The selection for musical theater is pretty solid, found almost everything I needed. The mobile app lets you adjust key and tempo in real-time, which is super useful for practice and even during warm-ups. Downloaded a few tracks for offline use and that worked without a hitch. The piano sounds real, not MIDI, which is important for sounding professional. My only small issue was trying to find some obscure off-Broadway stuff; they didn't have everything. But for standard repertoire and contemporary musical theater, it's great.
